I learned that Power-Genics batteries are better than other rechargeables because they have the performance power of regular batteries with the environmental benefits of rechargeable.

I use AA the most for the kids toys and AAA's for the remotes.

PowerGenix’s batteries deliver 1.6 volts of power, allowing users to get full performance out of their devices. To put this in context, most electronic devices are designed to perform optimally with disposable alkaline batteries, which deliver 1.5 volts of power. However, traditional rechargeable batteries (NiMH and NiCd chemistries) deliver only 1.2 volts, which causes devices to under-perform.
