The first thing I noticed in the parking lot was they were busy! They were having a sale on Lawn Mowers in the parking lot, selling hot dogs with the Boy Scouts and had a truck selling BBQ. I went inside the store and asked the first employee if I could speak with Michael Kipperman (the manager). He told me Mr. Kipperman was outside, so I went back outside and there he was serving up hot dogs. I introduced myself and he replaced himself at the hot dog grill and took us inside.
Once inside the store he offered to show us around and pointed out the different sections. I noticed how busy they were so I told him we could tour by ourselves and if I had questions I would come and find him. He seemed pleased with that.
As we stood there I did ask a few questions however.
Me: How many employees work here?
Mr. Kipperman: about 20
Me: What are your hours of operation?:
Mr. Kipperman: Mon-Fri-9a-9p, Sundays 10a-7p...Holidays also except Thanksgiving and Christmas, they're closed.
Me: What are your busiest seasons?
Mr. Kipperman with a smile on his face, said all seasons as you can see.
Me: How do you advertise?
Mr. Kipperman: I usually take out a flier in the local paper and I also have a Facebook page for the Baltimore Store.
Me: Do you offer delivery, installation and haul away the old?
Mr. Kipperman: Yes we do.
Me: Do you offer a warranty on "all" products? Even the used ones and the dent and scratch ones?
Mr. Kipperman: Yes on all products (1 yr. warranty) plus we offer extended warranties as well.
Me: Do you always tell the customer where the damage is?
Mr. Kipperman: Always, we are very honest about that!First we walked through kitchen appliances. They had many refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers to look through.
Look at these prices? $7.00 for shirts/shorts and $6.00 for jeans??? WOW
I never even knew they had Sears Outlet Stores until I visited this one in Baltimore. The prices are outstanding!! I have to say Kudos to that crew! Their store is clean, very organized, the aisles are nice and wide and not cluttered with boxes or products. I was so excited this trip and it was so busy I didn't really get to look at everything close up, but my next trip I will do better and I can't wait I'm already planning it!
If you have a Sears Outlet near you it really would pay for you to stop by for a visit. You will be surprised about prices! Go ahead, give it a chance.

It looks like you had such a great intro to your store. How could one not find an appliance they'd like after looking through all of those?!!
OH my!!! I have to admit that I am one of those dollar store, walmart shoppers.. As a teen, some of my friends HAD to shop at the mall, I tagged along being an onlooker and thinking back I do remember Sears having "sale" racks pretty much all year long. They werent the types of sales you had to sort through , it was good stuff, just "running out of season".
To this day though, I have not been to a Sears Outlet.
I wasn't planning on shopping but I think after seeing your sales I am gonna head down the street to my local sears outlet! THey have some greaaaat prices.... Man I wish I was in a house! ;)
I didn't realize your store had linens and clothes! Wow. Nice store for sure. Wish mine would have grill outs lol. You are right that one stove and fridge look amazing.
Did you see anything you wanted?
i'm from baltimore! don't see many people in the blogs from that area ;-)
WOW!! Your store looks amazing. You have me wanting to head to my store now. What great prices;). I love to find good deals.
I love Sears Outlet. We have one about 10 blocks away. Ours doesn't have clothes and stuff though. They should add that in and I vet it would get way more business!
Wow Ellie I want that refrigerator with the two drawers - that is awesome! Your store looks fantastic! Very nice write up!
It was a very nice store. I'm hoping to get a better look next time. I was so excited and they were busy I didn't get a real good look at everything. I didn't want to get in anyone's way. I'm sure there is something there I will want though. lol
I love shopping for bargains! I haven't been to our Sears Outlet store yet, but reading your post and learning that they have a 1 year warranty on their items, has me planning on a trip soon. I'm a huge Sears fan, especially because of their reputation for standing behind their products so add me as a fan!
Thanks for the post Ellie. This is a new store so getting the word out there helps us so much.
I really like the balance of apparel and appliances, new and reconditioned, large and small items, top of the line and entry level products. We tried to make sure we have a bargain for every customer in this one and every customer has a different perspective on what is a bargain.
I am looking forward to more visits/reviews and hearing your feedback.
Thanks again!!
Thanks for stopping by. I am following you back. I didn't know there was a Sears outlet store around. I'm an hour from Bmore so I am definitely making the trip!
Thanks!

How creative to do a post on the Sears Outlet. I would not have thought of that. It was very informative.
