Warmables Review and Giveaway

Posted by Ellie-A Little of This and a Little of That at 11:28 PM
Do you know when you eat cherries and have to spit out the pit? What do you do with them? Throw them away like most people correct? Did you know you can actually put the pits to good use. There is a website called Warmables that does just that. They use the dried cherry pits to keep food warm and also to help with aches and pains.

Here is a page of all their products.

When I came across the site I emailed them to see if I could review a product to see for myself. They graciously said yes and asked which one I would like to review. I really wanted to review the Warmables for the Office but was curious about the Body Warmer Pit Sack. So I told them the Warmables for the office but it was actually a toss up because I was curious about the Body Warmer Pit Pack for my arthritic shoulder. Well they sent both. I was surprised when I opened the box and found both in there.

The Warmables for the Office contained the following: An Insulated Pouch, Pit Sack, and a Food Storage Container. The Body Warmer Pit Sack contained the following: a 9" square filled with well over a pound of cherry pits. the cherry pits release heat or cold very slowly for instant relief! It stays warm about 30 minutes, longer if you're under the covers. Can also be used as an ice pack. It's 9x9" square covered in 100% terry cloth. Machine washable and dryable. You will also receive a lavender sachet with each Body Warmer Pack for a more relaxing, soothing scent as desired.

I have to say I used the Body Warmer Pack on a very bad arthritic shoulder I have and I warmed it in the microwave, and put it on my shoulder, then put my terry cloth robe on to hold it in place and it not only held it in place it kept the pack warmer longer. My shoulder felt so much better. I was able to sit at my computer and type some more. I love the Body Warmer Pack and anyone with aches and pains should try it.

I tried out the Warmables for the Office when my husband had back surgery. I am diabetic and have to eat 6 small meals a day so I packed a peanut butter sandwich, 4 cheese stix, and a juice box in the plastic container then the pouch and I wanted to keep mine cold so I grabbed the pit sack out of the freezer and put it in the pouch also, a little tight fit but not bad. It worked like a charm. My food stayed cold, my juice was really cold.

Now for the good part....2 of my readers are winning these 2 prizes. Mandatory Entry is tell me which Warmables pack you would like to try, the Warmables for the Office, or the Body Warmer Pit Sack and why you made that choice (MANDATORY AND MUST BE DONE OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED)
