I'm Cuckoo for Coconut-Tropical Traditions Coconut that is

Awhile ago I did a review about Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions. Well they allowed me to do another review about their wonderful Coconut Chips. I received a gallon jug of Coconut Chips. 100% natural Coconut chips are made from organic dried coconuts from the Philippines. They are also grown without pesticides and fertilizers and are not sweetened, and contain no additives or preservatives. You can use them for many things, there are many recipes they can be used in. There is also a page with coconut recipes. http://www.freecoconutrecipes.com/ I used them in Trail mix which consisted of: chex raisins pecans granola sunflower seeds pretzels I also used them in dried fruit which consisted of: dried banana chips dried apricots dried cranberries dried papaya dried chunks of pineapple I actually make two different bowls because I don't really like apricots. We put them on top of cereal, I made a coconut cake and sprinkled the top with them. But the most interesting thing we do with the coconut chips is throw them in the coffee grinder with chocolate coffee beans and grind it all together and make coffee that tastes like a Mounds Bar. Delicious. It also says you can eat them alone as a snack, but I wasn't real thrilled by that. I preferred mine with something else. But that is my taste. What a Small World After all-Los Lobos Goes Disney.

I was contacted by Elissa from the Music Marketing Company Total Assualt and she asked if I would be willing to review the new Los Lobos Going to Disney CD and write a little something on my blog. I agreed. She is also offering a giveaway of One CD to a lucky reader. Chic Moderne Review and Giveaway

About a month ago I was looking around on the Blog Friendly PR and came across this website Chic Moderne. So I went to the website to look around and decided I would contact them to see if the were interested in a Review and Giveaway. I emailed Patti and she very kindly answered my email and agreed to a Review and Giveaway. She sent me one of their Hand-Milled French soaps. I received the Lemongrass. Now I'm not usually a big fan of fruity scents. I use like Cucumber Melon soap, which does have some fruit but also the Cucumber to cut down on the fruity smell. I received the box in the mail and didn't smell any strong fruity smell through the box. I opened the box and took the round shaped bar of soap out and all I could smell was a light lemony scent. Nothing too strong. I was happy. I showered with it the following day and lathered up with it and all I could smell was a very light lemony smell. I liked it. When I think of Dolce & Gabana I think of class, and when I think Of Dolce & Gabana Light Blue I think of not only class but also beauty . I LOVE this scent, it makes you feel beautiful and sexy. Let's Spice It Up

About a month ago the lovely ladies at TSP Spices agreed to send me a can from their Holiday Sets of Organic Spices. They have several to choose from and I chose the Bird in Hand which included 12 one teaspoon packets of organic herbs such as: Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, and Marjoram. The main thing I want to say about these spices is they are Fresh with no additives or fillers! You can taste the vibrant fresh spice taste on whatever you use them on. The one teaspoon packets are a perfect size to spice up any kitchen and come in tins that protect the spices from light and air and keep them fresh. When you're finished with the spices, you can use the cans to keep collectibles, small items, or they can be recycled. We used the spices on several different food items to see how they would taste. We tried the Thyme on chicken, and it was so fresh and you could actually taste the Thyme with each bite of chicken. We also made a Pork Tenderloin and used a little of each spice on that. It was delicious. You could taste the distinct taste of each spice. Now we normally buy the fresh spices at the supermarket that are kept in the produce section and love them. However the TSP Spices are fresher than any spices we have ever purchased there. We also tried the spices on steak. I won't use anything else now. I will be purchasing my spices from TSP Spices. Today's Topic Is: Six of Your Favorite Sweet Treats Now I don't eat a lot of sweets anymore, I used to before I went through Chemo but now I just don't have the cravings as much. Some of my favorites used to be/are: 1) Peanut Butter Cups....YUM 2) Chocolate Cake....Isn't your mouth watering??? 3) Coffee Cake...I have a weakness for Coffee Cake. 4) Pineapple Upside Down Cake....I could eat this everyday. 5) Fudge Brownies...who's running to bake some now?? 6) Apple Crisp...I am so hungry now. lol Well that's it, my favorites. Aloha! Best Coffee EVER Review & Giveaway

I love Coffee. I mostly love flavored coffees. I was surfing around and came across the Coffee Store website www.mauicoffee.com and decided I would contact them to see if they would let me review their coffee and offer a giveaway and they agreed. Then finally, I heard the truck, peeked out the window and saw Mr. Fedex drop a package at my front door and I knew, I could just smell the delicious coffee through the front door. I opened the door and literally ripped into the package and 3 80z packages of the BEST smelling coffee EVER, fell out. Now we always have a big mug of coffee in the morning and also with dinner and it was about 2 hours before dinner and I was getting so excited trying to decide which coffee I would try first. The flavors I received were (you better sit down for this) Banana Nut Cream(heavenly), Coconut Cream(just like biting into a Coconut Cream pie) and Kona Fancy(unbelievable taste). Two flavored and one not, but the Kona Fancy is a high-end 100% Kona coffee, one of the finest Hawaii has to offer. We tried the Kona Fancy first. It was the most unbelievably rich, roasted coffee taste you will ever experience. My mouth is watering as I type this. My kitchen smelled like a coffee shop. I'm serious, I can't say enough about the Kona Fancy coffee. The next morning we had the Banana Nut coffee and it was amazing. It tasted like you were biting into a piece of Banana Nut Cake or Cheesecake. Then that evening for dinner we had the Coconut Cream (my personal favorite) and it was like taking a piece of Coconut Cream Pie and blending it up in a blender and pouring it in a glass and drinking it. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Its so ironic. This is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I am getting my Med Port Removed (finally) next Friday on the 9th., then my Mammogram on Thursday the 15th. Scary month. I really hate to get that mammogram, as I am petrified. Is that something I am going to feel each time? It's amazing how you can get other illnesses like Rheumatoid Arthritis and not have the same dire fear about your future. I have moderate Rheumatoid Arthritis and some days can't get out of bed, but I am not petrified to get my routine tests for that. Breast Cancer is a very scary thing, as it can creep up on you without your even knowing it.

An estimated 192,370 U.S. women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009.
An estimate 2.5 million living in the United States have a history of Breast Cancer.
In 2009 an estimated 440 men will die fro Breast Cancer.
One out of eight American women who live to be 85 years of age will develop breast cancer, a risk that was one out of 14 in 1960.

Please, if you're diagnosed with Breast Cancer, ask questions, do research. It's tough financially. If Gary's parents weren't there to pay my monthly insurance premiums, I would have been in big trouble. They paid monthly with a smile on their face, and refuse to be paid back. They are constantly giving us gift cards to Giant, Trader Joe's for groceries. They are truly amazing people. Well sorry I kind of got off the subject there, just thought people should know how LUCKY I was. But check out those websites if you need help financially.
