Hunger

Posted by Ellie-A Little of This and a Little of That at 12:11 AM
There are about 36 million people that struggle with hunger. Mostly it's hard working adults, seniors and children who just can't make ends meet and go without food for several meals and sometimes days. Well ShopRite Partners in Caring is on a mission to stop the Hunger. ShopRite Partners In Caring is a year-round, community-based, hunger-fighting initiative that works with more than 50 food industry manufacturers to provide $2 million annually to qualified charitable agencies in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
ShopRite Partners in Caring was founded in 1999. Since then they have donated $20 million to more than 1,400 charities. From the website: Every time you buy an item marked with the special ShopRite Partners In Caring shelf tag , you’re supporting one of the 50-plus partner companies whose donations help more than 1,400 hunger-fighting charities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware and Pennsylvania. It’s that simple! General Mills and Shoprite will donate a box of cereal to a food bank in their trading area for the first 30 people that comment on this post. Let's help the hungry and type away....Please just one comment can help feed a child. If you would like to read more about it the website is: http://www.shopritepartnersincaring.org/index.asp

Nobody should go hungry in a world where one person makes millions in bonuses for running their company into the ground while asking for millions in handouts.

What a great program. Thank you for posting about it. I agree with a previous post-er who said "Let's Feed People!"

There's no reason people should be hungry in this country, with all of our resources.

I'm here to help you get those donations. We don't live in a shoprite area, but if we did I would shop with them because of this.
