The year anniversary of my partial mastectomy

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my partial mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy. I remember after that everything was a whirlwind. Meet the Oncologist, the radiology Oncologist, The Chemo nurses, take my Chemo 101 class. 2 months later...bald, no eyebrows, no eyelashes, depression starting to set in, felt like crap all the time and had my doubts if I would make it though. But I did, I was determined to not let the beast kill me. It worked. Many months of treatment and I am now cancer FREE!!! Just wanted to share that with my readers. I was blessed and my guardian angel got me through, not to mention my SO Gary who took such good care of me. If it weren't for him I never would have gotten the mammogram that saved my life so in turn, Gary saved my life. Ladies/Men make sure you get normal doctors check ups, do your self exams, get your annual mammograms. It can save your life, it did mine.
