WTH?
Have you ever met one of those people that talk constantly and tells you everything you should be doing or trying, yet they have no idea what the hell they are talking about? Well I did today and I thought I was going to lose my freakin mind. I went for my Rituxan infusion that I get for Rheumatoid Arthritis and there was a lady there just like that. She sat across from me. Here's how it's set up. They have 5 recliner chairs and one massage chair that everyone hates. Three recliners on one side of the room and 2 on the other. They are those really big cushie recliners.
That God I take my iPod and watch movies or play games. I had to keep turning it up though so I could hear it over her big mouth. So anyhow the doctor gave me patches for my shoulder which turns out I am allergic too, but she wanted me to try them anyway?? WTH? So this lady speaks up (barges in on my conversation with the doctor) saying "I know I'm not a doctor or anything but she could maybe cut a small piece of the patch and try it out and see if she has a reaction to that, and at least it will only be a small area". I was dumbfounded. So the doctor says to me, yeah you could try that and turned around and walked away. So I look over at the lady and she says "see there ya go problem solved". I was LIVID. I said to her, no the problem is not solved and if you would have stayed out of my conversation with MY doctor we might have been able to solve it. She said "I don't understand what your problem is, I gave you a good suggestion, I read a lot of medical stuff on the Internet" I just said to her, please mind your own business. So now I am stuck with patches made out of voltaren, a drug I am allergic too and no help for the pain in my shoulder. Since when do doctors listen to other patients to treat their patients. WTH? I didn't have another chance to speak with MY doctor while I was there. So I am right where I started.
